SPIRITUALITY - Family Concerns Commission

2018 ACCW Convention Resolution:

Purpose:  To encourage by prayer and action lapsed Catholics to come back to the practice of their faith, especially by invoking Jesus as “The Good Shepherd.”

Whereas, Many Catholic families have members and friends who no longer practice the Catholic faith; and

Whereas, The Gospel message of the Good Shepherd teaches us to strive to bring “lost sheep” back into the fold;

Resolved, That the Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women (ACCW) members request Masses at their parishes for the intention of the return of lapsed Catholics, that those Masses be publicized in parish bulletins, and that members be encouraged to attend those Masses whenever possible; and

Resolved, That ACCW members use the National Council of Catholic Women (NCCW) resource “We are Called to Witness”  (www.nccw.org) and access additional resources at www.usccb.org.
