Catholic Relief Services and Fair Trade – Learn How to Create a Better World

We help because we are Catholic not because they are Catholic.

NCCW 2007 Resolution includes information about supporting and purchasing fair trade items.

The story of coffee on the mountain:  Beans are hand picked, de-pulped, husk removed from bean, fermented and fully dried, then bad beans are picked out. There is no contract. Payment is once a year.  Sales are made along the road to roadside vendors for a bartered price.

Responsible purchasing can make changes for the poorest of the poor overseas.

Parishes can take part in fair trade and make lasting changes.
