The Northeast ACCW Deanery is alive and growing. The CCW and Women’s groups are active and busy in our parishes. As I begin my second and final year of my term as NE ACCW Deanery President, I reflected on what this opportunity has meant to me and what we can do to continue to build our NE ACCW Deanery for 2018-2019. The opportunity to visit all of the Parishes in our deanery was a fun and I am inspired to continue to coordinate and share activities and events for the women in our Parishes. In addition, it was exciting to see many of the women from the NE Deanery at the April ACCW Convention at St. Michaels in Stillwater.

God is Good ! The Northeast Deanery Board is growing and working on planning for 2019-2020 . The first expanded meeting was held 11/30/2018 and was attened by 7 women . Three of the women had never been at a Deanery Board meeting. The second Northeast Deanery Board meeting was held on January 11, 2019. Two more new women have agreed to join the efforts of the NE Deanery Board to plan for 2019-2020.
Our December calendars were filled with fund raisers of Craft sales, cookie sales and Advent Mornings of Reflection. The women’s groups in all of our NE Deanery Parishes offered something for the women of their parish to become involved with. Several of them collected new items for the ACCW Christmas Appalachia Program and helped pack and transport them to the Semi.
Our Spring Northeast Deanery activities will include hosting the “Mary Stations of the Cross” at both St. Michaels in Stillwater and St. Genevieve in Hugo/Centerville.
The St. Genevieve CCW Group provided lunch for the Fall Priests Deanery Meeting in November and St. Michaels CCW provided a special Valentine’s Day lunch in February. As we meet and greet the priest attending the meeting, we are sharing our spiritual support with prayers and our physical support with fantastic delicious lunches.
